The Motanka is a special Ukrainian doll that people have been making for millennia as a spirit house for their ancestor spirits. It is made without stitches and without a face and is crafted simply by winding and tying off fabric. These unique Ukrainian dolls are magical and empowered and a very traditional folk magic tool.
