Description
The original Seal of Solomon was the signet ring worn by King Solomon as was described in medieval Islamic and Jewish mysticism and Western Occultism. It is the predecessor to the Star of David, which is the symbol of the Jewish people in modern times.
It was often depicted in either a pentagram (five-pointed star) or hexagram (six-pointed star) shape and gave Solomon the power to command demons, genies, and spirits, and to speak with animals. Nowadays is is seen as an amulet or talisman used in magic, occultism, and alchemy. The Seal of Solomon can also be used to represent the combination of the four elements: Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.
