- Boil water
- Place 1 tsp. of loose leaf tea in a white or light-colored tea cup
- Pour water
- Let it steep for 3-5 minutes
- Drink the tea

- Place saucer on top of cup
- Swirl the cup and saucer clockwise three times
- Quickly flip the cup with saucer so that liquid drains into the saucer
- Leave upside down for 30-60 seconds
- Turn cup right side up and read the leaves
